Coast to Coast - Inverness to Skye

Travel coast to coast across the Highlands, in the shadows of mountains and forests, beside bright lochs and open moors.

The Kyle line draws a wide arc from Inverness to the shores of Loch Alsh, taking in spectacular highland scenery and finishing with magnificent views of Skye. The views from the window are worth the fare alone. No matter where you are along the 80 miles of line. The train journey takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes.

This journey will be unforgetable as you will see jagged peaks, amazing forests and if you are lucky red deer stags or golden eagles. Look out for the distinctive Torridon mountain range and the pretty village of Plockton before you arrive at Kyle of Lochalsh.

Skye magical tours will meet you at Kyle station and drive you over the Skye bridge for a tour of the island. We will return you in time for your train back to Inverness.
