Train, Ferry and Skye Magical Tours

Described as one of the best train journeys in the world. Why not catch the train from Fort William to Mallaig? This 84 mile train journey takes you passed many great sites and views on the way to Mallaig.

Between Fort William and Mallaig the train passes through many areas of great beauty including Arisaig and Morar and on a clear day you can see Rum, Eigg, Muck, Canna and the sands of Morar where the films "Local Hero" and Highlander" were filmed.

You will also see Glenfinnan, where Bonny Prince Charlie raised the standard in 1745. And you will pass over the world famous 14 arch Glenninan viaduct which was used in the Harry Potter movie.

Your final destination is Mallaig, which is the access point to Skye. You then catch the ferry to Armadale on Skye (approximately 40 minutes), where Skye Magical Tours will pick you up and do a tour of Skye. After your amazing tour of Skye we will take you back to Armadale to catch the ferry and train back to Fort William.
