Kilt Rock Tours

The Kilt Rock is one one of Skye's many tourist attractions and lies north of Portree and about 2 miles south of Staffin village. The rock is a 200 foot high sea cliff with an amazing waterfall crashing down to the sea below.

The striking rock formation is said to look like a kilt with massive columns of dolerite giving the appearance of pleats in a tartan kilt.

The cliff has a viewpoint and guard rail to allow visitors to peer over the edge. This also allows lovely views over the sea to Rona, Scalpay and the Scottish mainland of Applecross.

Free parking is available close to the viewing point.

If you would like to visit the Kilt rock please call Brian on 07951 190 886 or Alan on 0790 0453 031.
