Itinerary for the Skye Tour
We do a 5 hour tour of Skye. We start at Kyleakin about 10.00am and we make our way up the island. Our tour takes us up and around the island were we will see all the major landmarks,
Our first stop will be the amazing Black and Red Cuillins. Then on up the east coast passing through the village of Portree, the capital of Skye. Here we stop to explore this coastal village and have a coffee breakor do some postcard and gift hunting.
Our next stop after Portree, is the magnificent pinnacle of the Old Man of Storr and the Trotternish ridge. Then we move on up the coast for a second stop at the Old Man of Storr, were you have a second chance to take another amazing angle of this magniicent pinnacle.
Then we move on to Rigg viewpoint. This is the best viewpoint in Scotland you will see from this point mainland Scotland, Isle of Rona, Isle of Raasay, Holm Island the Red and Black Cuillins as well as the Trotternish ridge and the Old Man of Storr. You will get eight major landmarks in one photograph. After that we move on up to Lealt falls and Kilt rock. This amazing rock and waterfall is over 60 million years old and the water falls over 180 feet into the sea below. The rock is said to look like a traditional scottish kilt.
After this stop we will pass through Staffin and up to the Quiraing. This is awesome it is a place of wonder and outstanding views. There have been many films made here, Stardust, Wicker Man, Harry Potter, Prometheus, Land that Time Forgot and many more. Then we head back to Kyleakin and with one more stop at the waterfall of eternal youth. The local legend says anyone who drinks from this will stay young. We will stop at all the landmarks above so you can take away memories and photographs that will last a lifetime.
All the above tours are in a 7 seater air conditioned mini bus with a driver/guide with 30 years of driving in Scotland and Skye.The mini bus has large open windows suitable for photography and fresh air.
